The town and village entry signage project will see nine towns and villages across the Narrabri Shire receive personalised signage installed at each main entry point.

The towns and villages included in this project are:

  • Baan Baa
  • Bellata
  • Boggabri
  • Edgeroi
  • Gwabegar
  • Maules Creek
  • Narrabri
  • Pilliga
  • Wee Waa

Community consultation has been undertaken over the last five years to identify specific elements that each community feels best represents their town or village.

Council has engaged Danthonia Designs to design, construct and install the 22 signs across the Shire.

The proposed designs were endorsed by Council to be placed on Public Exhibition at the April Ordinary Council Meeting. The proposed designs are available for viewing on this page and feedback can be provided via the survey or by email council@narrabri.nsw.gov.au up until 5pm Wednesday, 20 May.

ABOUT THE SIGNS

The signs are designed to fit aesthetically with our Narrabri Shire Council branding and the gateway signage that has already been installed.

The brown like colour is weather steel, similar to that of the gateway signage, while the yellow colour is the wheat colour of Narrabri Shire's brand.

Each image has been developed through consultation with each community as to what they feel best reflects their town or village.
